Structural Steel for Sydneys Convention Centre
Date: Febuary to April 2015
Brief: To blasting and paint structural members that will form part of the new Sydney International Convention Exhibition and Entertainment Precinct (SICEEP).
Project size: Approximately 500 tonne or a total area of 7500m2
Details:
Prepare the steel surfaces of the steel trusses for the application of protective metal coatings including a protective primer and finish coat.
Outcome:
The project was completed in full at Central Coast Metal Protective’s extensive facility at Charmhaven utilising the company’s abrasive blasting chamber and one of CCMP’s two purpose built industrial spray painting workshops.

ABI GROUP CONCRETE PLANT
Date: 30th March 2012
Brief: To refurbish ABI Group’s Mobile Concrete Plant, which consisted of 2 silos and a main body.
Project size: Approximately 80 tonne or a total area of 800m2
Details:
Remove rust and corrosion and prepare the steel surfaces of the silos and main body for the application of protective metal coatings including a protective primer and finish coat.
Outcome:
The project was completed in full at Central Coast Metal Protective’s extensive facility at Charmhaven utilising the company’s abrasive blasting chamber and one of CCMP’s two purpose built industrial spray painting workshops.

OLYMPIC PARK SHADE STRUCTURE FOR TOILET BLOCK
Date: 30th March 2012
Brief: Total corrosion control for a new steel shade structure to be erected over a toilet block near Olympic Park, Sydney NSW.
Project size: Approximate surface area of 450m2
Details:
Abrasive blasting and protective metal coating of shade structure constructed of new structural steel. The project included the surface preparation of the steel structure in readiness for the application of industrial strength protective coatings.
The project was completed in full at Central Coast Metal Protective’s extensive facility at Charmhaven over a two-week period, utilising the blast room and one of CCMP’s two purpose built industrial and commercial spray-painting workshops. Once completed, the job was stored in CCMP’s yard ready for delivery to the site near Olympic Park in accordance with the client’s delivery requirements.
Outcome:
The result was a strong, durable, aesthetically pleasing steel structure that will withstand the elements and be protected from the harsh effects of corrosion over time. The job was completed on time, within budget and with pick-up and delivery handled courtesy of CCMP’s in-house transport fleet.

SOLDIERS POINT BOWLING CLUB
Date: 30th October 2011
Brief: Corrosion control for a new shade structure constructed from structural steel for erection over the bowling greens at Soldiers Point Bowling Club.
Project size: Approximate surface area of 1,300m2
Details:
Abrasive blasting and protective metal coating of shade structure including surface preparation of the steel structure in readiness for the application of industrial strength protective metal coatings.
The project was completed at Central Coast Metal Protective’s extensive facility at Charmhaven over a four-week period, utilising the blast room and one of CCMP’s two purpose built industrial and commercial spray-painting workshops. Once completed, the job was stored in CCMP’s yard ready for delivery to Soldiers Point Bowling Club in accordance with the the client’s delivery instructions. Once erected, CCMP’s mobile team travelled to the site for touch-ups to minor damage caused during the client’s installation process.

The result was a strong, durable, aesthetically pleasing steel structure that will withstand the elements and corrosion over time. The job was completed on time, within budget and with pick-up and delivery handled courtesy of CCMP’s in-house transport fleet.

BIG W STEEL STRUCTURE, HOXTON PARK
Date: 30th October 2011
Brief: Total corrosion control for new structural steel fabrications for Big W’s Hoxton Park retail outlet.
Project size: Approximately 30,000m2 (1,300 tonne) of structural steel.
Details:
Abrasive blasting and protective metal coating of new structural steel fabrications including surface preparation of the steel in readiness for the application of one prime protective coating.
The project was completed in full at Central Coast Metal Protective’s extensive facility at Charmhaven over an eight-week period, utilising the blast room and one of CCMP’s two purpose built industrial and commercial spray-painting workshops. CCMP also provided and co-ordinated transportation of the steel for pick-up and delivery to and from Big W’s Hoxton park facility.
Outcome:
The result was a strong, durable, aesthetically pleasing steel structure that will withstand the elements and corrosion over time. The job was completed on time, within budget and with pick-up and delivery coordinated by CCMP.

CHAIN VALLEY BAY COLLIERY, VENTILATION CHUTE
Date: 2nd July 2012
Brief: Total corrosion control for custom fabricated ventilation chute for the Chain Valley Bay Colliery.
Project size: Approximately 500m2
Details:
Abrasive blasting and protective metal coating of custom fabricated ventilation chute fabricated from structural steel, including surface preparation of the steel in readiness for the application of protective metal coatings in accordance with client specifications.
The project was completed in full at Central Coast Metal Protective’s extensive facility at Charmhaven over a two-week period. CCMP provided and co-ordinated transportation of the steel for pick-up and delivery to and from the Colliery and was able to store the chute in CCMP’s storage yard until the client was ready for delivery.
Outcome:
The result was a strong, durable steel chute for the colliery that will withstand corrosion and heavy wear and tear over time. The job was completed on time, within budget and with pick up, delivery and storage coordinated by CCMP in accordance with the client’s delivery requirements.
